Great Price, Great Quality - Promise delivered

After much investigation I finally decided for the Genesis GMS GMSUDR15L. In life one must evaluate what his/her reality actually is and in my case, while I work on lots of projects at home, I'm actually just a weekend warrior not a professional - also, I am not a brand statement kind of a guy - I go for the good, nice, and less expensive items - I don't need to show off how much I spent or which brand I purchased - I focus on the performance and the quality of products according to what was advertised.

That said, the machine arrived beautifully packaged and in great conditions. It's got all the bells and whistles I need (sliding, miter, the laser guide and all). Extremely easy to assemble - my kid and I put this together in 30 minutes. Before we knew it we were actually cutting quarter-rounds and other stuff. Note: I also bought the Terratek TMSS70H Miter Saw Stand: (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005S8TG4K/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i00) so the price combination here worked perfectly - great pricing and great items.

It's been over 45 days and the machine has performed as promised on the site. Do yourself a favor and do not go overboard on something you don't need. I am extremely happy with the quality and the pricing of both items - good luck!

OK tool for price

The first one arrived in horrible condition. It was shipped (all the way from china?) in a flimsy cardboard box which arrived at my door in battered condition. I opened it to find that the handle had been snapped clean off the saw! Amazon sent me a new one promptly, but still... how wasteful in terms of fuel, money, and time!

The tool itself is pretty nice considering what the "professional ones" cost. The detents are pretty shallow, but I was able to make some decent 45 degree cuts to construct drink rails around the brick pillars in our basement. They came out nicely. The included blade isn't so nice - do yourself a favor and spend $30 on a nicer one. Also, the included dust collection system is really ineffective. It might work better attached to a shop vac. I don't really care about the sawdust mess, but others might... This saw is OK considering it's low price.
