I've read the manual and loosened the two cap screws underneath, aligned the blade, then tighten the two cap screws, but the blade will not stay square. It's off by almost a full degree. When the framing square is flush against the blade, it is angled off the fence by 1/8". It seems like the miter lock handle throws it off every time it is snugged up. This is too frustrating to deal with. I'm going to take it back to Home Depot and buy the DeWalt. I was sucked in by the Ridgid lifetime warranty, but that sounds like a farce from the posts I've read at [...]

I bought this saw about six months ago for remolding and DIY projects, and I love it. This saw works great, never lets you down. I am very satisfied with this buy.

Just purchased the saw after reading strong review in Consumer Reports. The saw will not square to the fence even after repeated attempts to adjust it. This is a major issue for anyone trying to do any type of semi-accurate finish work. It's going into the box and back to the store. Will try a Dewalt. Disappointing.
