The Rockwell RK7136.1 ShopSeries 10-inch miter saw is equipped with a 14-amp motor ideal for powering through tough woodworking jobs, whether it be cutting wood for trim, wainscoting, framing, or other projects. And with a superior material support capacity, rugged die-cast aluminum construction, and convenient portability, the RK7136.1 is the perfect miter saw to travel with you from one job site to the next.
Key Functional Features
The RK7136.1 is outfitted with a one-of-a-kind material support and leg system that can handle longer work pieces than any miter saw. It has miter detents that are preset at commonly used angles. With a voltage of 120 volts and 60 hertz, power input of 14 amps, and a no-load speed of 5,200 RPM, the RK7136.1 packs a punch without compromising on convenience—its rugged die-cast aluminum construction makes it sturdy while staying lightweight for easy moving.
Incomparable Support System
The infeed/outfeed support can accommodate up to 10 feet of standard 2-by-4 material. Two patented roller supports help keep things steady when cutting longer pieces by attaching directly to the material, and retractable length stops allow for repeated cuts when necessary. Optional depth stops on the rollers permit unlimited cuts of uniform length.
Integrated Leg Stand
Assembling the RK7136.1 is a snap, literally: Just snap the legs together and tighten them with a screw, then simply secure the legs directly to the saw base. You can work immediately thereafter, and when it's time to pack up you can unscrew the legs and get on your way in just a few seconds.

Good and bad result in mixed feelings
By Elad
When I bought this, it was for a project to replace the trim/molding floor boards in my home. I had gotten tired of my hand saw and miter box. I looked at a number of miter saws, and what I liked about this on was that it felt solid, the miter table turned firmly and snapped/clicked firmly into preset angles, it appeared to be simple to operate, had a quick stop brake, loved the extension/support option for long pieces of wood, and in general the overall build.
What I found when I got the box home was that most of the pieces had been factory installed/set. Nice! Putting it together was easy because most of the work was already done, which is good because the manual that comes with the unit is horrible.
The legs did not impress me. Once put into place (each leg is made of two parts, so there is some wobble), and attached to the saw, there was a lot of play in legs. They do include one leg with an adjustment to level the unit --- that was fine. But I didn't like the wobble feel of the unit. I thought the legs should be more stable and locked into place better.
As I said, the manual was horrible. Parts were mis-identified (labeled wrong. The pictures are of such poor quality as to be of little use. Instructions on adjusting the saw (which you will probably have to do) are very incomplete.
You would guess that the saw would be square when it is factor set. You would be wrong. Not only was the bevel off, but the saw was not square to the table. I finally had to get help from a pro, and even he was scratching his head. The bevel was fairly easy to correct, but not so the rest of it. At first we thought the fence (the piece you place the board against before cutting) was off. It is secured with allen wrench type set screws. Of course the saw didn't come with one so I had to go buy one. After working with it for a while we determined the square position of the fence, but the blade was still cutting wrong. It wasn't the fence (it was off, but not much).
We determined we needed to actually reposition the saw on the miter table frame. It is held in place by three allen type set screws, but of course it is a different size so I had to make another trip to the store (this time buying a ring of wrenches instead of just one!)After we carefully shifted the saw using squares to make sure we had it right (on both sides of the blade) we locked it into place. The saw blade was no longer in the center of the groove of the table, but close to the right side of the groove in the table. This made me nervous, but it worked o.k.. We sawed some 2x4's and some trim boards from several angels and it now seemed to be set correctly.
The blade that comes with the saw is good for rough cutting only. To cut trim or for clean cuts you need to buy a better blade. Once the blade was changed, the saw made short work of cutting my molding/trim boards and I was very pleased with this.
Overall the saw is good for a homeowner/occasional user. I don't see a pro wasting their time fiddling with the saw as they move from site to site. As I said, it is a bit wobbly and a lot of the pieces are held in place with plastic handled set screws.
I would have rated this saw a 4 if it had a better manual and if it was set up 'true' to start with from the factor, and if they would have included the allen wrenches for times when the user needed to make adjustments.
It is still a good saw for the price.

good deal for $
By Edd Anderson
I bought this at a good price, I have seen the same saw sold under several different brands. And the reason I am giving it 4 stars is 90% of time I use it I don't need stand. While the stand is a weak point, I have been able to get it to work it took a while to figure out a way to set it an level it. I paid well under $100 including tax.
The majority of my power tools are Milwakee 4, Hitachi 2, Skil 1, Black&Decker 1, and this Rockwell 1. Of the last 3 the Black and Decker is what I use in place of the Dremel, The Skil a sabre saw I may use once or twice a year the Rockell 3 times a year.
If it was something I used all the time I doubt I would have bought it, the Rockwell. But I read some reviews and talked to the salesman who gave me the skinny on why they were sold cheap and the main problem was the stand and some had a motor problem(at that time), he said if ran when I got it home it would be alright. That proved to be true. I also know a couple of people who bought it under a different brand, this is 2011,12 production, and thet have no problem, the one they got did not come with stand.
I bought mine the end of 2010, from a big box store they were dumping Christmas stock that had not sold

Stay Away!
By DEC
This saw was really cheap and on sale, so I already had low expectations, but when I actually started using it, I realized that the angles are off. I never could figure out how to get it set right. It's really cheaply made. The other day I tried using it again and the saw actually bent to the side (while in use) and cut into the frame. I couldn't believe it. It could have been my finger. Do not buy this saw. I am warning you. It's very cheap and dangerous.
