Useful but inaccurate
By R. Speir
First, note that you can buy this saw at Sears for $69.99.
I bought it to do light trim in small jobs where I didn't want to carry around my 50lb Dewalt miter saw. At first, I thought it to be useless junk. After lots of adjusting and use on more carpenter-type jobs, I found its small size and light weight handy enough to live with its inadequacies.
Second, forget the compound bevel cuts--you will never get within a degree or two of your desired angle and the setting will only last for a cut or two. Further, When you rotate the blade for a compound cut, it does not stay at the desired miter angle. For example, tilting it 45 degrees at what you would hope to be a 30 degree miter angle will probably give you a miter angle between 28 and 32 degrees, even if you can get an accurate tilt angle, which is unlikely.
Third, plan on spending a lot of time adjusting the laser.
Fourth, throw away the blade it comes with and buy a Freud thin kerf.
Finally, I should note that you simply cannot believe what you read in the Sears website reviews. I posted two reviews giving this saw a poor rating and Sears did not publish them. 75% of the reviews on their website are rated 5 star. There just aren't that many bad craftsmen out there.

Love it!
By W. Lang
I love this little guy for backyard DIY work. Yeah, it's imprecise, but it cuts well, it's super light, and it tucks away nicely. The laser also works well enough to handle most jobs. It's probably not for you if you're charging money for something that needs to look perfect, but for everyday frame/box/whatever making on 2x4 or smaller stock, it does the trick for cheap.

Shop around for this great little saw.
By Steven B. Watton
This is a great little saw with features you wouldn't expect, like a built-in laser, and it comes with 2 blades - a rough cut and a finish. This saw is available brand new from either Sears or Kmart for about $80-$90. (as of 10/08/09 anyway)
As a professional handyman this works perfect since most precision miters are done on relatively small stock. This little guy, at only 11" tall when closed, fits right out the side window of my truck's topper!
Buy one today! Look around for the best deal ;)
Plus, it's only 16lbs!
