nice little saw
By bkeep
I received the saw today and promptly took it out of the box and set it up. For a reconditioned saw I would not have been able to tell except for the sawdust left over from the previous owner. Some of the other reviews about the saw being a little out of square are correct but the manual explains how to fix that and is pretty simple to correct. The stopping mechanism for the table is not as precise as I would like but for under $200 bucks who can complain. If you really need that precise of a cut you better start looking in the $500 dollar range. All in all this is a very good deal. With 10 minutes of your time, a speed square and a metric Allen wrench you should be cutting in no time.

dont let the looks fool you, accuracy is what counts.

I bought this saw new. During set up, the laser was not a sharp and accurate line like it should be, but was distorted and thin, and then it was very difficult to lock it to a 90 degree cut, or any degree for that matter, becuase of the locking mechanism, which is so poorly designed that when you tighten it, it wanders to the left, which throws it out of square. I don't have the time to check every cut for squareness, before and after each cut. This saw fails to do what it was designed to do, that is to cut accurately every time. Yes, this saw looks great, and has impressive features, but don't let it fool you, like it did me. I was really hoping this would be a great saw, it just needs a sharp laser, and a better locking mechanism. When comparing the saws at the big box store I noticed the Dewalt did lock into positions nicely. I am returning this saw tommarrow, and getting a Dewalt.

Great for weekend projects

Works great. I'm not a professional, just a retired piddler, and this saw is perfect for me. The laser is a bit over rated.
